ReplyDeleteLovely book, beautifully illustrated and well written, with lively bite-sizes of moving and fascinating information. A wonderful gift book even for those who are not really 'horsey'. Looking forward to volume 2.
ReplyDeleteI’ve just received my copy of Monumental Equus – wow! Stunning images, beautiful text and what a unique take on equine statuary. It’s about time we were aware of the stories behind the horses, not simply about the stonework or sculptor. The stories range from heart-wrenching to uplifting and all are unforgettable. A fabulous book, and one that has been way overdue.
